Ascend Fire Ant Bait - 2 lb.Ascend Fire Ant Bait is specially formulated to control fire ants, pharaoh ants and related species. With low active ingredient concentration, the bait gives worker ants sufficient time to transfer the bait to their colonies. The bait is then consumed by the inhabitants of the colony and eventually the queen ant. When the queen dies, the colony’s ability to reproduce is impaired and ant numbers dwindle as the bait works on each ant. Directions for Ascend Fire Ant BaitApply the product evenly over treatment areas using granular spreaders and other application equipment. It is recommended to apply the product when ants are actively foraging usually when soil temperatures are greater than 60°F. Use the product for broadcast applications, individual mound treatments and crack and crevice applications. For broadcast applications, spread the product uniformly over infested areas at a rate of 1 lb/acre. For individual mounds, apply 5 to 7 tablespoons of the bait over ant mounds. Spread the product evenly over mounds and extend two feet from its base. DO NOT use the product in food handling areas and surfaces. For indoor applications, first locate areas with high ant activity.
